Currently, Hohai University offers 52 undergraduate majors, and awards first-level class master degrees in 34 disciplines, second-level class master degrees in 185 disciplines. It also has 9 research bases for post-doctoral students, first-level class Ph.D. degrees in 12 disciplines and second-level class in 57 disciplines. Among these, there is a first-level class key discipline--Hydrology, Hydraulic Engineering, designated by Chinese government and 7 are designated as second–level class key disciplines. In addition, 4 disciplines are recognized as first-level class key disciplines at the provincial level, and 9 as second–level class key disciplines. Hohai University has 10 key laboratories, 7 national engineering research centers above provincial and ministerial level.
